Beautician Has 30 Pints Drained So She Can Walk

A woman with a rare condition that made her limb swell to the size of an elephant's leg has had life-changing treatment to walk again.

Roseanne Smith, 54, from Plano in Texas, USA, watched in horror when at the age of 18 her ankle and foot began to swell without any explanation.

Doctors were stumped by her unusual symptoms and as the years went on the swelling progressed up to her right leg and knees where it was rapidly growing in size.
